PetWell Walk for PetWellness 2025 is a 5km fundraising dog walk that supports the amazing work Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR) do!
We're inviting all dogs and their humans to come dressed as wizards, witches or magical creatures - because together, you're conjuring up second chances and happy endings for rescue animals through the power of love, kindness, and community.
Whether it’s a glittery unicorn horn, a flowing wizard cloak, or a sparkly wand in tow – your pup’s costume helps spread the message: Every dog deserves a little magic.
All ticket sales support Second Chance Animal Rescue, helping give homeless pets the forever homes they deserve. So grab your broomsticks, fluff up those wings, and prepare to paw-ty with purpose!
The Walk starts at Point Park, Docklands, along the Yarra River to Southbank and back to Point Park (5km).

Second Chance Animal Rescue not only rescue, rehome and rehabilitate displaced and abandoned pets, they also support pet owners who are doing it tough to keep their four-legged friends happy, healthy and at home by their side.
As a not-for-profit organisation SCAR receive no ongoing government funding, so their life-saving work relies heavily on the kindness and generosity of supporters just like you.
After spending seven years as a breeding dog, Rosie was discarded at a pound alongside her brother, Maximus. SCAR stepped in to rescue them both, but when Rosie suffered a life-threatening complication after surgery, Sarah trusted her instincts and rushed her to emergency care—ultimately saving her life. Thanks to SCAR’s love and dedication, Rosie made a full recovery and found her forever home, where she finally gets to live the joyful life she always deserved.
